A message from Bob
After 30 years of tool making in the engineering industry I took up wood turning as a relaxing hobby during my retirement. It has progressed from there to now being a paying hobby not a profession, my prices reflect this. Most English woods are readily available and I can turn most things from Thimbles to posts for Four Poster beds and bowls to 24″ diameter. Please contact me, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
In addition to the items shown in the gallery I have also made and supplied the trophy bases for Cheltenham and Aintree racecourses.
Trees are beautiful things, and I believe that they should not be cut down unnecessarily unless they come from sustainable sources. If for any reason they do need to be felled do not let them rot or burn, but make use of the wood and therefore the beauty of the tree will live on and continue to be enjoyed.
